The Wireless Battle Mesh is a non-commercial, volunteer-organized annual convention.
The convention features a variety of talks and workshops on technical and political issues related to mesh networking, wireless community networks and Openwrt firmware development.
The purpose of the event is to further topics such as right to connectivity, community-owned infrastructure and related free open source projects.

Location
The Battlemesh v18 will take place in Gornji Karin, Croatia. It combines indoor and outdoor spaces, a residency/classroom setting, open-air areas, proximity to the sea, and direct access to protected nature. Karin regularly serves as a hub for artistic, educational, and sustainability programs.

Add yourself to the participants list. If you'd rather not have your name there, please send an email to the organisation team with the same information displayed on the participants list.
In brief: we will have organized talks, workshops and discussion panels on community networks and wireless mesh networks. There will also be more informal activities: cooperative hacking, self-organized projects, and (we hope) delightful conversations!
In addition, there may be a self-organized wireless mesh network, running different routing protocols to compare them. Please coordinate directly on the battlemesh mailing list or matrix channel to make that happen.
Accommodation
Accommodation is to be booked individually.
The area, Gornji Karin, offers approximately 700 beds online in houses/apartments, with shops, bars, pizzeria and restaurants about 4 km from the venue.
A camping site is provided at Pueblo Escondido for 15 Euro per person.
